Lindzi.com: What's the craziest thing
that's happened to you since you've begun touring?
Lindzi.com: Life on the road can be
draining. Are you happy? Lindzi.com: It must get boring answering the same questions repeatedly. What's the most annoying question to be asked? Vanessa Carlton: Stuff about my personal life. It's nobody's business. Lindzi.com: What's the biggest misconception you had about hitting it big? Vanessa Carlton: I don't think I ever really imagined what it would be like. You see people on TV or hear them on the radio, you see the whole thing. You see the whole rise to super stardom. I don't think I ever placed myself in that position to know what it was like. I don't think I had preconceived notions about it.
Lindzi.com: What is the rise to fame
like?
Vanessa Carlton: You don't know until
you're in it. Then, it's like... okay. All that I can say is that it's much
more glitzy and glittery on the outside. When you're in it, it doesn't sparkle
like it does when you're peering in from an outside perspective. Her album, Be Not Nobody, is in stores now and features her hit single A Thousand Miles. Other tunes to listen for include: Ordinary Day, Rinse, and a cover of Paint It Black. |
