Lindzi.com: Who do you plan on asking
to be your Valentine?
Ricky: If I could have anyone, it'd probably be
Britney for a day.
Eric: I'd say... all the cast of V.I.P.
Danny: Ooohh, nice choice.
I like Julia Stiles. She's really cute.
Tommy: I don't know if I'm going to ask anybody
to be my valentine. I'm going to wait for somebody to ask me. That's what
I'm going to do.
Eric: Well, last year I didn't have one so I hung
out with these guys and this year I don't think I'll have one either, but
I would like to ask... myself! I'll make good conversation, go to a nice
restaurant...
Tommy: ...have some coffee and go talk to yourself?
{laughs} Jessica Alba's really cute, but she's probably taken.
Lindzi.com: You guys are all single? How'd that
work out?
Danny: We are shy. Everyone thinks because you can
get on stage and perform in front of all those people [that you're not shy],
but when it comes to one on ones it's a little.. uhh... I get a little nervous...
I don't know... it's hard for me.
Lindzi.com: Do you have a paticular
favorite track? Anything Valentine's worthy?
Danny: My favorite song is Here I
Am.
Eric: It's this song Can't Go On and it's
amazing.
Tommy: I'm Telling You This.
Ricky: Don't Get Better
Tommy: But our favorite song to perform is A
Girl Like You, which is our new single coming out. It's the "7 Digit
Song." |
Lindzi.com: How did the group get
started?
Danny: We started out as dancers and actors in the
industry and eventually met up. Ever since then we've been together as a
group just trying for it. It's been a long road, but we're finally getting
there. We're happy.
Lindzi.com: Tell me a little about
your upcoming album.
Danny: It's gonna be awesome. I don't think people
know what's going to happen with this album. They'll just have to hold tight.
We're releasing our new single in a few weeks. It's going to be "A Girl Like
You" and that'll give the listeners a little hint to our new CD and what
it's going to be all about.
Lindzi.com: How's it different from
the last album?
Danny: It's more up tempo... more hard hitting, edgy.
It's a little more personal. It's gonna be cool.
Lindzi.com: What's your favorite part
of traveling?
Eric: My favorite part of traveling would have to
be meeting cool people, partying, and just being with my closet friends every
day. Every so often [it gets rough]. It's like we're brothers and brothers
sometimes fight. So, we'll get in our discussions, but that's it. Then it's
over.
Lindzi.com: What's the craziest gig
you've ever played?
Eric: The news show with the chords? [after much
discussion] Yeah, we did an early morning tv show. They had chord mics and
the camera got stuck. It was really bad. So the camera got stuck on me and
I had to sit there.
Lindzi.com: What is performing live
generally like?
Ricky: Being on stage is a lot better than being on
camera. It's fun. It's a reward. It's all about hard work. |
| Lindzi.com: How has all of this
affected your personal lives?
Ricky: Sometimes we have no time and sometimes we
have all the time in the world. We don't get to see our families as much
when we're on tour. They travel with me every once in a while.
Lindzi.com: What is an average day
like for No Authority?
Tommy: Well, today, for example... we woke up at like
7 or 8 and we were on California time. So we only got like 3 or 4 hours of
sleep. Then we did this huge interview with a bunch of kids from Radio Disney.
We answered questions and sang some stuff. Then we did an online chat and
then we waited for like two hours for our car. Then we came here and did
a sound check. We'll eat, perform tonight, and, eventually, we're going to
go to sleep.
Lindzi.com: Do you work well under
pressure?
Ricky: Yeah, we're best under pressure. Then you get
that drive to really succeed. Sometimes I get intimidated by our own
expectations, which is the way it should be. You want to do a good show.
You want to do your best and you want to have fun and succeed at it. So,
mostly it's what we want and trying to accomplish it. |
