That's hot!

Nikki & Jenny of Innosense

All you 'N Sync fans will recognize their names, but do you recognize their talent? Take this moment to familiarize yourself with the girls, their music, and their message.

Lindzi.com: How'd the group form?

Nikki: The group came together with an idea by a lady named Lynn Harless. Lynn took the idea to Lou Pearlman. We all met Lynn in different ways. Some of us through 'N Sync. Some through working with them earlier. Jenny and I had met in L.A. a long time ago. We all came together and we're now Innosense.

Lindzi.com: Where'd the name "Innosense" come from?

Veronica: Basically Lynn & Lou had thought of it in the beginning. We spell it differently because we're not trying to say we're innocent little four-year-olds. It's more like have a sense of yourself and believe in what you're going after and just do it.

Lindzi.com: What was it like hearing yourself on the radio for the first time?

Mandy: It was crazy. We were in a limo on our way to Denny's to eat and had just finished a show, which ended up being hilarious because it was at this night club.... but anyway, we were all dressed up and all of a sudden Say No More comes on the radio. We were like "Oh my gawd!" We started hanging out the roof and telling people outside, "Come listen! This is us! This is us!"

Jenny: You know that's your song and you know ya'll's voice is singing, but it seems like someone else is singing it. And then you hear the DJ say, "That was Innosense with Say No More!"

Lindzi.com: Do you have a particular favorite track off the album?

Danay: My favorite track to listen to would be You Didn't Have To Hurt Me because I was going through a special time in my life, when we recorded it. I kind of go through that every time I hear it or sing it.

Lindzi.com: How will you know when you've hit it big?

Jenny: Hopefully it'll be sometime soon, but I don't think it'll ever get to that point. Fortunately, or unfortunately, when you're in this business you're so involved in the business aspect of it that you don't even realize how popular your music is. I'm a TV fanatic and, being on the road, I miss so much TV and radio. On the bus, I'm always talking to the girls or watching the same movies over and over. When you're starting to make it you don't realize how big you are until you're selling millions and millions of albums. Then you might realize you're pretty big. {laughs}

Nikki: I think that we would have hit some type of greatness whenever they make fun of us on either Saturday Night Live or some sort of spoof on South Park or The Simpsons. We would have a lot of fun doing SNL... not just performing, but actually being a part of the skits because all of us are actresses and drama queens.Danay of Innosense

Lindzi.com: Drama queens, huh? Does that ever create a problem when you're on the road?

Danay: We all have our moments.

Veronica: {laughs} Ask Chris our sound guy!

Lindzi.com: What do you think it is about fame that changes people?

Veronica: I think they start believing all the hype. They start thinking that they're ultra cool. We hope and pray every day that we stay humble along the way. If we do make it, there's nothing that should change us.

Jenny: If it does, we'll kick each others butts!

Lindzi.com: What's something you've learned about yourself in the past year?

Jenny: That I'm very very emotional. That sums it all up... that's all I'm going to say.

Danay: I'm extremely picky. Anal, but I didn't know any other way to say it besides picky.

Veronica: That I depend on people.

Nikki: I used to have a tendency to depend on other people for happiness. I got to the point where I couldn't be myself. I'm okay with it now. I guess it's hard to do when you're around a lot of people, but by being around them, I've been able to recreate myself. I've found something very strong that I can depend on.

Lindzi.com: What was it like touring with your buddies 'N Sync & Britney?

Nikki: It was fun. I think all of us really enjoy touring. We like the whole atmosphere of doing a show every day. The crowds we so... you just fed off them. They wanted to see you perform. You'd go out there every day and they'd always be excited no matter what city. That gives you so much of a reason to love this, besides loving it yourself.

Lindzi.com: What do you do in between shows for fun?

Danay: Sleep? {laughs} Don't ask me.

Mandy: I have two Chinese puppies. I take care of them. I spend time with my boyfriend, friends, and family. I like to go out and club sometimes... shopping.

Lindzi.com: What is the dating scene like for you?

Jenny: For some of us it's harder than others. Mandy and her boyfriend dated before we started touring. I guess it would be difficult trying to meet somebody on the road and trying to keep a relationship. Fortunately, we haven't run into that too much. For those of us who do have boyfriends, we've worked it out. We all have our SkyTel pagers.

Veronica of InnosenseLindzi.com: We all know how possessive 'N Sync fans can get (hey, I am one!) and it seems like you're often put as dating each of the guys. Are there any rumors you want to clear up?

Danay: I'm clearing everything up...

Veronica: Hold on, hold on. We don't know what the rumors are, girlfriend. No. Clear it up once you know what the rumors are. {laughs}

Lindzi: Okay. {talking to Nikki} First off, you and JC? I don't know... supposedly...

Nikki: Him and I dated for a long time. We dated for like six years. But we broke up, like, years ago.

Lindzi.com: Yeah, I guess people have to realize that these are just rumors because you're each put with a different guy every time I check.

Jenny: The most recent one I saw relating to me was that I... First of all, I never knew any of the 'N Sync guys before I joined this group! The only way I'm friends with them now is from being affiliated with this group. Not because of anything else. The rumor is that I had to sleep with a certain member of the group... fine, it's obvious.. I slept with Justin so his mother would put me in the group. That was my rumor. Too bad I never met Justin until four or five months after I joined the group. That hurt my feelings. Not to mention that his best friend is my boyfriend, which really made him upset! I'm just playing. He knew it wasn't true.

Nikki: Rumors are just... that's what they are rumors. I guess they draw some kind of attention so... hey... talk all you want! Bad press is good press.... or at least, that's what they say.

Jenny: We try not to take anything too personally, but think about being in that person's situation. Step back and say, "Would I want someone saying this about me?" Even if it doesn't hurt us, it's embarrassing for people to think of us in that way. Whatever happened previous to being in this group happened before we were formed. That's like asking who you dated in kindergarten. It's really trivial.

Lindzi.com: What has been your most memorable experience as a group?

Nikki: Our tour bus broke down for like the 34th time. A tour bus that has supposedly never broken down. It's raining outside and we have to catch a flight. We have 27+ bags of luggage and wardrobe and we're talking HUGE bags. We have to load them into a patty wagon.

Danay: That's what they put convicts and dead body's in.

Nikki: We had our luggage all on top of us and then there was a police car too that kept the rest of our luggage and our tour manager. We took off. The cop car broke down. Needless to say, we caught the flight, but it was the weirdest thing.

Danay: That same day we were waiting in Fort Lauderdale for a van to come pick us up, but it broke down. That was three in one day. On top of that, they asked us to sing while we were in the patty wagon. We were like, "Whaa?"

Lindzi.com: What's the craziest thing a fan has done to meet you?

Jenny: We're not like guys are with the girl fans... how they throw underwear. I mean, let's hope that doesn't happen. I think for a girl or guy or any fan to fly from like NY to FL for a show, that's pretty loyal.Mandy of Innosense

Lindzi.com: What were you like in high school?

Mandy: I did the whole cheerleading and homecoming thing. I had a show choir called Attaché and we traveled a lot, competing in the states. I did musicals during the summertime. I got to do Sandy in Grease and that was fun. Mainly, just trying to study.

Danay: I was a nerd. I was a complete outcast and I hardly hung out with anybody. That whole outcast thing only lasted until 11th grade. 12th grade was the best year of my entire life. Everything was perfect.

Jenny: I wasn't in high school much, but I did spend one semester there. I was tutored most of the time. I found out how girls were, in high school, and I found out who my true friends were. I was such a teacher's pet. My friends would make fun of me because they thought I was kissing up. I would never answer questions, but they'd always call on me and I knew the answers.

Nikki: My school life was normal up until seventh grade. That's when I started MMC. I'm sure it would've been really fun. My sister goes through it and I kinda go through it with her.

Veronica: I was a cheerleader in high school. I went in Tennessee, then Colorado, then back to Tennessee. Then I came here.

Lindzi.com: What's your ultimate goal in life?

Innosense: To be happy!

Jenny: To be content with who I am and where I'm at. Very few people are really, truly happy.

Nikki: People aren't happy 100% of the time, though.

Jenny: Well, not 100% of the time, but to some degree.

Lindzi.com: What drives you insane?

Danay: Everybody knows this... when somebody takes something of mine without asking. If they don't ask for it, then it's a no. If they ask for it, I usually say yes.

Nikki: I really hate when people condemn other people. Not to say I haven't been guilty of it, but I try. Also, I'm anal about cleanliness and organization. I drive them nuts on the bus, I'm sure. {Girls nod. LoL.}

Jenny: When I really don't know what's going on and I'm not informed. Even if it's something good and I don't know about it, it makes me so mad that it's not even good anymore.

[Editor's note: Veronica & Mandy chose things that make them happy.]

Veronica: When I don't have to worry about anything and I can just go with my friends and play at a circus or fair or in the snow. It feels so good to me.

Mandy: When everyone's happy around you. There's no worries. It's just a breath of fresh air. Everything's going perfect and there's good spirits and souls around you.
