Lindzi.com: Tell me a little about your character on That 70's
Show.
Mila Kunis: I play Jackie who is a cool character.
She is the spoiled one out of the bunch. She's always perky and wants to
go out. My character has really progressed a lot since last season in the
way she looks upon things and people. Jackie matured. She started out as
a little kid not knowing what to do or what she wanted. Recently, she stopped
following people and, almost, tells people what to do now. Kelsey [her boyfriend]
would cheat on her and she'd look the other way. Now she's gone her
own way. She's very strong, a little stubborn, a little ditzy, but overall
she's great.
Lindzi.com: Is Jackie anything like you?
Mila Kunis: In many ways she is and in many
many she's not -- mostly she's not anything like me. I'm a very stubborn
person and Jackie is, as well. So, that's one quality we have in common.
Lindzi.com: Can you tell me a little about the upcoming season?
Mila Kunis: I wish I could answer that question!
I don't know anything about the episodes. We have a really cool Halloween
episode coming up. As of our last season finale, all of us were grounded.
So, there's an episode where we try to sneak out.
Lindzi.com: Do you have a particular favorite episode?
Mila Kunis: My favorite episode would be the
one where I blew up like a big balloon. It was titled "Charlie and the Chocolate
Factory."
Lindzi.com: Do you think being in this industry has forced you to grow
up quicker?
Mila Kunis: I definitely think I matured a little
quicker than the normal teen. I started out when I was nine. Most of the films
I've done were with adults rather than little kids. I grew up because I had
responsibilities. I have to wake up for work, study my lines, go to school;
so I have more responsibilities than the normal kid. I don't think anything
out there is harder than handling both school and That 70's Show.
So far, it's hard, but it's a challenge. It's fun. I get tutored. I go to
a regular public school. I can't complain about what I do... so many people
would love to do what I do.
Lindzi.com: What do kids at your public school think of all this?
Mila Kunis: Unfortunately, when I started attending
the school, the show had already started airing so people knew me as
"that girl from That 70's Show." It's a little hard because they'd
be like, "Oh, she's on TV." People always stereotype actresses only because
they've never been acquainted with one. I have friends there who have opened
up a little to me. My true friends I still have from before high school.
I don't go to high school to socialize. I go to learn.
Lindzi.com: If you could bring any item from the 70's to the millennium,
what would it be? The style?
Mila Kunis: No, no, no. Not the style... the
bell bottoms have already come back and left again! {after much thought}
Shag carpeting... that thick carpeting that's really comfortable. Your toes
can sink into it. It comes in ugly colors. I don't think I'd ever actually
purchase it, but I definitely think it should come back.
Lindzi.com: What's the cast like?
Mila Kunis: They're all great. We're a big family.
I mean, we're together for nine hours out of the day, every day. When I started
the show, I was fourteen. The only person I was close with was Laura. I'm
seventeen now
and Laura's nineteen so we're close to the same age. They all saw me as the little
sister and I still am!
Lindzi.com: Do you guys hang out after your finished taping?
Mila Kunis: Friday nights we'll go bowling or
out to a 24 hour diner or something.
Lindzi.com: Kissing Ashton... take it from there!
Mila Kunis: Kissing Ashton.... {giggles} is...
a lot of fun! When I auditioned for [the show], I was just like, "Oh, I wonder
what guy I'll get to kiss." He's a great kisser!
Lindzi.com: What was it like hanging at MTV's Beach House last
summer?
Mila Kunis: {laughs} Oh my gawd! They're so
loud so you feel like you have to scream over them even though you have a
mic in your hands. It's nuts up there! It was the greatest thing. The audience
was so loud and obnoxious.... it was fun! However, it was really cold. We
had to act like it was a typical summer, but in San Diego it hadn't gotten
hot or sunny yet and we had to wear little summer outfits.
Lindzi.com: Tell me a little about your new movie, Get Over It.
Mila Kunis: Kirsten Dunst, Ben Foster, and Sisqo
are in it. It's like a A Mid Summer Night's Dream. Sisqo plays
my love interest. Ben plays Kirsten's love interest and I play Kirsten's
best friend. Sisqo likes me through out the movie, but I don't like him and
through out the whole movie. Kirsten likes Ben and he doesn't like her. It's
a romantic comedy. Meanwhile, A Mid Summer Night's Dream is intertwined
within the movie as the school's play.
Lindzi.com: What was it like working with Kirsten and Sisqo?
Mila Kunis: Oh, it's so much fun! I was looking
forward to working with Kirsten because she's one of my good friends. But...
Sisqo... I was like, "Oh my gawd -- I'm gonna work with the Thong God!" That
was all that was going through my head! I didn't know what to do... I didn't
know what he'd be like. As it turns out, he's the sweetest guy. He's like a little boy. I
thought he'd be all hard like, "Yo. Wassup?" but no! He's a good little
boy... and a great actor! So good at what he does. He had to fly out every week
to Japan & London. It was amazing what he had to do.
Lindzi.com: What's your take on
all these young starlets who are trying to shed their good girl image?
Mila Kunis: If that's what they want to do than
that's what they should do. I can't judge them for that. However, I don't
think I have a good girl image. I don't think I have a bad girl image. I
just go with the flow. Whatever comes my way. If the script looks good and
doesn't look like it'll ruin my career, I'll do it. All these teens who are
doing the racy Rolling Stone covers, it's generating publicity. Bad publicity
is always good publicity. I don't think I would ever, personally, but I won't
knock those who are.
Lindzi.com: What's the craziest thing you've done with friends?
Mila Kunis: What's not crazy? Everything we
do is so dumb. We'll go swimming at two o'clock in the morning on a December
night. It could be freezing outside and we'll still jump in with all of our
clothes on. Then we all get sick! Or, like, all of us are getting together
at my friends house next Saturday and we'll probably just run around the
neighborhood screaming in our scooters. We all just bought scooters. We're
scooter friends.
Lindzi.com: What's something you've learned about yourself within the
past year?
Mila Kunis: Wow, these questions really require
some thought! Ummm, that I'm a really good driver. Have no fear, when you see me on the
road you don't have to pull over -- I am a good driver! I just started a year
ago so that's what I've discovered.
Lindzi.com: Do you have any celeb crushes?
Mila Kunis: Doesn't everybody? That's one of
the most common things! I'm not gonna say who! God forbid they ever read
this and I have to meet them -- nuh uh! That would be funny. It always comes
back to them. I said it one time. It was like a little line, "Oh yeah --
Mila has a crush on so-in-so," and I ended up meeting him. I turned so red.
I almost died.
Lindzi.com: What's the dating scene like for you?
Mila Kunis: Unfortunately I don't have time
for dating. If I meet a guy I like we'll hang out, but there's no serious
dating. I have school and I have my career. I don't have time for it.
Lindzi.com: Do you think guys are intimated by the fact you're an
actress?
Mila Kunis: I don't know why, but I could see
that happening. Mostly the guys I meet are in the industry and are pretty
self confident. That's the difference in dating an actor and non-actor. Usually
I'll meet these non actors who I'm so attracted to, but they'll be really
shy. I guess they're a little intimidated.
Lindzi.com: Are you ever shy yourself?
Mila Kunis: I can be very shy. Depends on
the circumstance... like if I'm in a crowd of people and don't know anybody.
If I'm in a good mood, and feel like being loud and obnoxious, I'll just go
up to a random person and introduce myself, but most of the time, I'm really
shy... the person in the corner.
Lindzi.com: Girls most commonly look up to celebrities for fashion
inspiration? Who are you into?
Mila Kunis: I love Charlize Theron. I love her
style. She's such an elegant woman... very soft and beautiful. She doesn't
look like she tries hard. Also, Drew Barrymore is definitely very cute. She
puts out a vibe like she's proud. No matter what she wears it'll always look
good on her because she's always smiling.
Lindzi.com: How would you describe your style?
Mila Kunis: Very comfortable. I'll buy a dress,
but only if it's comfortable.
Lindzi.com: What drives you insane?
Mila Kunis: Mean people drive me insane! People
who don't smile and don't laugh!
