6/25/09 :: Women in Film (& Maui)...

Aloha! I just returned from the Maui Film Festival where I spent the last week watching films under the stars, hanging by the Grand Wailea's pool--oh and doing a bit of work in between, if you call it work. I caught up with Zooey Deschanel who was being honored with the Nova Award. My Q & A with the quirky actress will be online shortly. I'll post a link soon...

Before Maui, I stopped by Women in Film's annual Crystal + Lucy Awards where I interviewed Jennifer Aniston, Jodie Foster, Holly Hunter, Jenny McCarthy, and Elizabeth Banks. Oh what a night! Click here to watch those video interviews.

Last night, it was onto the 500 Days of Summer premiere where I caught up with Mad Men's Christina Hendricks who was on hand to support fiancé Geoffrey Arend, who appears in the film. The adorable duo dished on their upcoming nuptials and wedding preparations. Click here to read more!

Up next? The BET Awards and some. Stay tuned....

6/9/09 :: A Feel Good Week...

Even during tough economic times, Hollywood is giving big. Cartier celebrated their 100th Anniversary in America with an event that benefited ServiceNation. Check out my video interviews with Usher and other cocktail party attendees.

Next it was onto the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball where celebs like Mark Wahlberg, Chase Crawford, and Eve helped the organization aid homelessness. Click here to watch video coverage from the event.

Last night, I hit up Oceana & La Mer's World Oceans Day Gala where Anne Heche, Nicollette Sheridan, and January Jones helped celebrate keeping our oceans clean. Click here to view video interviews from the evening.

5/15/09 :: May Update...

While much of Hollywood is living it up in Cannes, many of us are still holding down the fort here in LaLa land. Last night, Ashlee Simpson made it at a date night with hubby Pete Wentz at the T-Mobile Sidekick LX Launch Party. It was a love fest all around. Amanda Bynes & Emmy Rossum traded compliments while Pink & Carey Hart made their first public appearance since reuniting.

Earlier in the month, I caught up with Common at the Diesel Launch Party for their Only the Brave Fragrance. Click here to check out video coverage from the night. He gave a great live performance mixing old and new material. What a performer!

On a philanthropic note, Dustin Hoffman, Jewel, and Anne Heche gathered for the Race to Erase MS Gala. The group raised awareness while enjoying performances by Michelle Branch and The Eagles. Click here to check out my video interviews and to learn more.

4/27/09 :: April Videos...

A month has passed since I've said hello. Forgive me? Here's a rundown of what I've been up to:

At the First Ladies of Africa Health Summit Gala, I caught up with Naomi Campbell, Chris Tucker, and Kristin Davis. Click here to check out those video interviews.

Disneynature debuted their new film Earth at its Hollywood premiere. Eco-friendly stars like Wendie Malick, One Republic's Tim Myers, and artist Wyland stopped by the afternoon affair. Click here to watch my video interviews with the group.

Also in the eco-scene, Target threw a party to celebrate their collaboration with Loomstate, an organic cotton clothing company. Elizabeth Banks, Jaime Pressly, and Adrian Grenier previewed the collection before it hit stores. I was on hand capturing their shopping sprees and conducting interviews. Click here to take a look.

Before that, it was off to the Parks & Recreation Premiere Party at new Hollywood hot spot MyHouse. Amy Poehler joined cast mates Rashida Jones & Chris Pratt as they took a night off from shooting. We all enjoyed a nice chat before the party got underway. Click here to check my video interviews with the cast.

3/30/09 :: Kids Choice Awards...

The critics always speak their minds. Why shouldn't the under thirteen set have a say? This weekend, their voices were heard at the 2009 Kids Choice Awards. I hit up the live event's orange carpet where I chatted with Emma Roberts, Pete Wentz, and Tony Hawk. I left the show slime-free, but The Jonas Brothers weren't quite as lucky. Click here to check out my online coverage from the big night

3/26/09 :: Shopping with Miranda Cosgrove...

In preparation for this weekend's Kids Choice Awards, I went shopping with Nickelodeon star Miranda Cosgrove. We browsed the racks at Milk, Satine, and Tarina Tarantino in search of the perfect red carpet ensemble. I'm still figuring mine out, but Miranda should be all set. Tune into the show on Saturday to find out what she wound up wearing. In the meantime, click here to check out pictures and anecdotes from our shopping spree!

Also, on last week's agenda? The I Love You, Man premiere in Hollywood. Click here to check out my video interviews with the film's cast.

3/16/09 :: April Issue of InStyle Magazine...

Award season may be over, but this month it lives on in the April issue of InStyle Magazine. I had the pleasure of covering two of the season's hottest tickets. At the Screen Actors Guild after-party, Tina Fey, Freida Pinto, and Claire Danes enjoyed the musical stylings of the Rock n Roll Fantasy Camp all-stars. Click here to view the SAG After-Party piece.

Naturally, Sir Elton John's Oscar Party had it's fair share of musical royalty and some. Eva Longoria Parker, Carrie Underwood, and Rashida Jones joined the piano man for a sit down dinner and auction benefiting his AIDS Foundation. Click here to view the Elton John Oscar Party piece.

There's one last award show this month. Up next? Nickelodeon's Kids Choice Awards. Stay tuned.

3/13/09 :: Listen for Eric Hutchinson...

Singer/songwriter fans need to listen up! If you like Jason Mraz or John Mayer, you'll LOVE Eric Hutchinson. The "Rock & Roll" star has been on my radar long before his breakout single hit VH1 and iTune's Top Ten lists. Back in 2002, I played his track Subtitles on WERS 88.9 FM when I hosted the radio station's morning show. As a freshman at Emerson College (where we were both students), I auditioned for the song's music video. I didn't make the cut--but he has certainly made mine. I recently caught up with the singer when he was on the road. We skipped revisiting the past, but talked about his present success and future aspirations. Click here to read my Q&A with Eric Hutchinson.

3/10/09 :: Shopping with a Twilight Star...

I'll admit it--I'm Twilight obsessed! These days, you'd be hard pressed to find someone who's not. As a fan of the phenomenon, I felt especially lucky scoring a shopping session with one of film's gorgeous females--Ashley Greene--just days before she went to Italy for New Moon fittings and rehearsals. Click here to check out the highlights (and Twilight dish!) from our shopping session where she previewed the spring trends for Miss Me, Bordeaux, and Paul & Joe Sister.

After one retail therapy session, it was onto another--and this one benefited a good cause. Over the weekend, I hit up John Varvatos' 7th Annual Stuart House Event. The clothing designer hosted a street fair that shut down the corner of Melrose Avenue & Robertson Boulevard in order to raise money for the Stuart House, a facility that treats young sexual abuse victims. Kyra Sedgwick & Kevin Bacon hosted the afternoon affair where kids had the opportunity to create their own Converse and decorate Crumbs cupcakes. (Mmmm, my favorite!) Check out my video interviews with Kyra, Kevin, and the rest of the crew!

2/23/09 :: Oscar Insanity and some...

Too tired to explain the week in detail... that's what my coverage is for. Here's a recap of this passed week:

--Check out my video coverage from the Children's Mending Hearts Benefit with Ben Affleck. Click here to take a look!

--The Independent Spirit Awards which is a day before the Academy Awards and is, as Michelle Monaghan described, "the anti-Oscars." Click here to check out my online InStyle piece featuring Cameron Diaz, Zooey Dechanel, and Kerry Washington.

--The 17th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Viewing Party, which took place during the Oscars. Victoria Beckham, Eva Longoria, and Kate Beckinsale supported the piano man and his organization. Coverage from the evening will appear in an upcoming issue of InStyle. In the meantime, check out my online coverage from the night.

More to soon come. For now, I'm off to sleep!

2/16/09 :: The Unforgettable Evening...

Courteney Cox-Arquette & Gwyneth Paltrow enjoyed "An Unforgettable Evening" when they were honored by EIF's WCRF and Saks Fifth Avenue for their dedication to cancer awareness. A crowd--which included Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson, Lisa Kudrow, & Jay-Z--watched on as the leading ladies accepted their awards. Beyonce later took to the stage to perform At Last, Crazy in Love, and Single Ladies. I was on hand doing video interviews for the elegant affair held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Click here to view my video coverage!

While we're on the topic of philanthropy, I'd like to give a personal shout out to NY Yankees' pitcher A.J. Burnett and his wife Karen, who were kind enough to sponsor my little cousin's travel team for a tournament in Cooperstown this summer. A.J. and his family were my cousins' neighbors and fishing pals when he played with the Marlins. Thanks to the baseball star and his family for coming to the rescue!

Also to be noted--this week, I'm headed to the Children Mending Hearts Benefit where Ben Affleck and pals will be on hand raising funds for the International Medical Corps' relief efforts in the Congo. Video interviews to soon come.

It's nice to know that, even in these trying economic times, philanthropy isn't forgotten.

2/13/09 :: Vintage Videos...

I recently came across old video interviews I'd conducted and wanted to share. Just click the event name you're interested in viewing: Los Angeles Premiere of Valkyrie, Grand Opening of The Conga Room, CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute Red Carpet, The Jordan Melo M5 Launch Party, Los Angeles Premiere of Milk, A Fine Romance Benefit, The Thelonius Monk Institute's Concert Gala, San Francicsco Premiere of Milk, Peter Alexander's Flagship Boutique Opening, High School Musical 3 Premiere, and the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Awards.

1/28/09 :: The 15th Annual SAG Awards...

As actors celebrated one another at The 15th Annual SAG Awards, the show was--naturally--filled with major star power. I was fortunate to chat one-on-one with a number of the award winners (Tina Fey, Laura Linney) and gorgeous presenters (Claire Danes, Diane Lane). At the People/EIF After-party, Meryl Streep mingled with co-star Amy Adams while Penelope Cruz kept Laura Dern & Ben Harper company in a private booth. For all the details, check out my SAG piece in an upcoming issue of InStyle.

In the meantime, my online coverage from the SAG Awards red carpet  is online now. Click here to take a look.

I'm also super psyched to share my latest piece--from the Neil Lane Store Opening--featured in InStyle's February issue with Kate Winslet on the cover. Click here to view the piece online.

And I'm equally thrilled to announce I was made a Contributing Editor with the mag. Super exciting! Here's to an ongoing equally great '09. More to soon come, friends. Stay tuned!

1/12/09 :: A Weekend in Review...

Believe it or not the following occurred over the course of two days:

1) At the BAFTA/LA's Award Season Tea Party, Leonardo DiCaprio, Freida Pinto, and Marisa Tomei celebrated their nominee status a day before the Golden Globes awards ceremony. Click here to see my online coverage!

2) While the Golden Globes unfolded on camera, it was the untelevised action from InStyle Viewing's Party that really heated up! Early arrivals Joy Bryant, James Marsden, and Heidi Klum led the pack of notables who joined in on the table-hopping fun. Click here to check out my online print coverage!

3) A picture tells a thousand tales, but so do video soundbytes... Click here to view my video coverage from the InStyle Viewing Party!

4) From there, it was onto InStyle's legendary Golden Globes After-Party--where the room was transformed into a French-inspired affair complete with a Godiva Gold Lounge and on sight
L'Oreal make-up artists available for touch ups. Click here for more details on the big night!

5) Seeing is believing... Click here for video coverage from InStyle's after-party where guests like Eva Longoria, Kate Beckinsale, and Megan Fox were greeted by a crystal embellished peacock and ten piece cover band that got everyone on the dance floor.

That's all (for now) folks! After interviewing Blake Lively, all I really want to do is veg out and watch Gossip Girl on the small screen. Awards season has only just begun...

1/11/09 :: From Critics Choice, Onto the Globes...

After a week of insanity, tonight it comes to it's climax with the Golden Globes. I'll be at the InStyle Viewing Dinner & After-Party... THE place to be! I'm filing live on instyle.com -- so be sure to check there for the coverage. Based on the guest list, the event is sure to be legendary.

The other night, I hit the Critics Choice Awards where Anne Hathaway walked away with Best Actress and Sean Penn took home Best Actor. Nominees Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie were also on hand. Click here for my complete coverage from the night.

1/8/09 :: 35th Annual People's Choice Awards...

Everyone in Hollywood has "people," but the only ones who mattered spoke loud and clear last night as fans chose their favorites at the 35th Annual People's Choice Awards. Kate Hudson, Reese Witherspoon, and Katherine Heigl were all there. Click here to check out my coverage from the evening. Next up? The Critics Choice Awards!

1/6/09 :: Happy New Year (of Hollywood)...

A happy and healthy new year, friends! This first week is already shaping up to be pure insanity, but before the chaos begins -- I wanted to pause for a moment of reflection. I'm so thrilled to share what I do for a living with you. Truly. I don't take it for granted. Not. One. Bit. Sure, I've been stressing about what to wear all week, but that never clouds my appreciation for this job. That said...

Who knew so many award shows could be packed into one week! Without a stylist or unlimited funds, you find ways to make do. How exactly? When the dust settles, I'll share my style diary from this week with you. In the meantime, I must focus on the tasks at hand. (That's right, I do actually work at these glam events.)

Tomorrow morning, I'm headed to the Palm Springs Film Festival Gala (where Anne Hathaway & Amy Adams will walk away with top honors). From there, I'm covering the People's Choice Awards, Critics Choice Awards, a BAFTA Luncheon, and Golden Globe festivities. Check in soon for updates featuring all the action!

12/30/08 :: HFPA's Young Hollywood Party...

It's nearly a new year, but before looking to the future... Let's revisit the past! Before the holidays, InStyle teamed up with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for their first ever Young Hollywood Party. In anticipation of the Golden Globes, Kristen Bell, Nikki Reed, and Rumer Willis gathered at Nobu West Hollywood for a post-nominations celebration! The always sweet Kerry Washington wore a fantastic pair of Helmet Lang leather pants. She skipped the sushi (due to a food allergy), but all others ate up the eatery's signature dishes. It was the perfect celebration to ring in the new year. I've yet to make New Years Eve plans, but I don't know how they'll possibly compete! Click here to check out my online piece from the party. Until next year, xo!

12/16/08 :: D&G's LA Boutique Opening...

Guests got a dose of guilt-free retail therapy when they hit D&G's Flagship Boutique Opening. With 15% of  all sales (from last night through January 15th) benefiting The Art of Elysium, guests like Rachel Bilson, Nicole Richie, and Lauren Conrad selected pieces from the spring/summer cruise '09 collection. Greygoose white cosmos were the drink of choice as attendees toasted the luxe label's new Robertson Blvd store. Check out my online coverage from the evening on InStyle.com.

In other news, I finally have my Bulgari piece--currently featured on newsstands in InStyle's December issue--scanned and available for online viewing. Click here to take a look!

I have a few more stops on the scene before the holidays. Stay tuned...

12/10/08 :: American Girl in Paris after AMAs...

Just returned from France and realized that, yes, another month has passed since my last update. The day before I left for Paris--I was up until 3:30 am finishing coverage from the American Music Awards. It was worth it-- Rihanna, The Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift... they were all there. Click here to check out my online coverage!

This week, I'm headed to the opening of LA's The Conga Room (where Jennifer Lopez is part owner) and the premiere of Marley & Me with Jennifer Aniston. On the flip end, I was just at Brad Pitt's premiere for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Yes, Angelina Jolie was there. She looked stunning as she walked Brad's parents down the carpet as he chatted with press. Next week is a busy week of Hollywood premieres including Will Smith's Seven Pounds & Tom Cruise's Valkyrie. Then a week of silence (and rest) before a new year (and another award season!) is upon us. More soon.

11/10/08 :: Neil Lane, Milk, and some...

A month has passed... and I've been as busy as ever. Rather than recapping the last 31+ days, let's focus on the present and future. I just completed a piece on Neil Lane's Melrose Place Store Opening where Kate Walsh, Carmen Electra, and other starlets soaked in the new space. That feature will appear in the upcoming February '09 issue of InStyle Magazine. In the meantime, check out my current November issue features -- the HBO Emmy Party & Day of Indulgence.

In video news, check out my coverage from the Mad Men Revue. I also flew to San Francisco for the world premiere of Milk, starring Sean Penn. You MUST see this film. Words can not describe it's impact--so powerful and inspiring. Exactly what we need in times like these. I'm headed to it's Los Angeles premiere this week and hope to have that video online soon.

10/7/08 :: Women in Hollywood...

When Elle rolled out the white carpet for their annual Women in Hollywood dinner, Hollywood's leading ladies came out in full force: Nicole Kidman, Halle Berry, Anne Hathaway, Isla Fisher, Jennifer Lopez, and the list went on. Check out my online coverage capturing all the excitement as Tinseltown toasted the evening's honorees.

10/4/08 :: InStyle's "Ironic Iconic Evening"...

Prior to the weekend, I found myself at InStyle's "Ironic Iconic Evening" with Tommy Hilfiger where Jenna Fischer, Elizabeth Banks, and Jason Lewis mixed and mingled with the all American fashion designer. Check out my online coverage from the event held on the Thompson Hotel's rooftop.

I was also on hand conducting video interviews with the group. Click here to check out my video coverage from the night!

Earlier in the week, I caught up with Catherine Keener & Charlie Kaufman at their Synecdoche, New York junket and hit Taco Bell with The Hills' Spencer Pratt & Heidi Montag as part of the World Hunger Relief Movement. Who knows where this week will take me?

In the meantime, check out my magazine piece in InStyle's October issue from Jim Carrey & Jenny McCarthy's Generation Rescue. Click here!

9/23/08 :: Video Coverage from The Emmys...

Oh, what night... night after night!

After hitting up the Bulgari Luncheon with January Jones & Amanda Seyfried (the piece to appear in an upcoming issue of InStyle Magazine), it was onto Chandra Wilson's private pre-Emmy dinner where guests sipped Perrier-Jouet champagne. The pre-partying continued at Entertainment Weekly's infamous "night before" fete. After a quick stop backstage at the Nokia Theatre's Presenter Gift Lounge, it was onto the Emmy's.

From the 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, check out my red carpet video coverage--featuring Teri Hatcher, Ricky Gervais, Vanessa Williams, and Evangeline Lilly. Click here!

After the show, day turned into night at the HBO After-Party where Tom Hanks, Jeremy Piven, and Cynthia Nixon mingled among the crowd. (The piece will also be appearing in an upcoming issue. Can't wait!)

In the meantime, my Generation Rescue feature with Jim Carrey & Jenny McCarthy just hit newsstands. I'll post a link soon. For now, I'm off to sleep. Wake me up next week.

9/9/08 :: Stand Up to Cancer, VMA's, and some...

It was an inspirational evening at the Kodak Theatre when actors, musicians, and athletes gathered for the Stand Up to Cancer benefit. I was backstage interviewing everyone from Ellen DeGeneres, Jennifer Garner, and Salma Hayek to Jack Black, Brian Williams (my crush!), Forest Whitaker, and Josh Brolin. (The list could go on and on.) Click here to check out my video interviews from backstage!

From there, I found myself on the red carpet for the MTV Video Music Awards where the crowd wondered: Would she or wouldn't she... do it again? Britney didn't wind up performing, but she did walk home with three awards. "It's Opening Ceremony," whispered Nicky Hilton, on her way into the theatre. She wasn't referring to the show, but rather who designed her dress. Zac Efron also stopped briefly to chat before heading inside. For all the VMA action, check out my online coverage for InStyle.com.

Also on last week's itinerary, I hit up The Women premiere where I caught up with the film's stars Meg Ryan and Debra Messing. Click here to check out my video interviews!

Lastly--on newsstands now: My Women in Film feature currently in the September issue of InStyle Magazine. Click here for a sneak peek. Soon to come: Coverage from the Emmys...

8/19/08 :: A Summer in Retrospect...

Summer is almost over and all I've done is work! That's ok. When work means hitting up Jennifer Klein's Day of Indulgence, Teen Choice, and ALMA awards -- one can't complain.

Jennifer Klein's Day of Indulgence included the likes of Jennifer Garner and Natalie Portman who enjoyed an afternoon of pure girly bliss--complete with spa services and shopping. Check out my online coverage and keep your eyes peeled for my upcoming InStyle magazine piece.

The ALMA Awards were filmed the other night with Eva Longoria Parker playing host. I was on hand for all the red carpet action. The show won't air until September 12th -- but my online coverage should tie you over until then. Click here to take a look.

Earlier this month, the Teen Choice Awards were, as always, filled with everyone's favorite PG-13 superstars (and some!) including host Miley Cyrus, Vanessa Hudgens, and Blake Lively. Click here to check it out!

Other highlights of the month included Jenny McCarthy's Generation Rescue Reception, where Britney Spears made a surprise appearance; the annual HFPA Luncheon (with Rosario Dawson & Aaron Eckhart); as well as video interviews from the ALMA Nominations and X-File Premiere.

7/18/08 :: ESPY Action...

Justin Timberlake is truly a star -- a fact already known, but truly proved as he hosted the ESPY Awards the other day. While sports fans will discover his comedic side as the show airs on Sunday, I had the opportunity to catch a preview from the press room. I was also on hand for red carpet arrivals. Click here to check out my online coverage from the 2008 ESPY Awards.

A few days earlier, I hit up the Boost Mobile Project Beach House were starlets and socialites couldn't get enough of Lia Sophia's new West End III collection. Jamie Lynn Sigler, Christina Milian, and Nicky Hilton were on hand to toast the collection... even Khloe Kardashian did a little pre-jailing partying. Click here to view my video interviews with the group.

Sir George Martin, who's often been called the 5th member of the Beatles, enjoyed The Grammy Foundation's tribute to his work at their annual Starry Night Gala. Click here for video coverage from the evening.

While Eddie Murphy skipped the premiere of Meet Dave, his summertime sci-fi comedy, I was on hand for all the action. We opted out for interviews, but focused on fashion shots as the always lovely Elizabeth Banks and Gabrielle Union worked the carpet like pros. Click here to check it all out!

7/6/08 :: Hancock & Such...

It's been a premiere filled week -- including stints at Wanted, Hellboy II, and (most recently) Hancock. While Will Smith and Charlize Theron hardly slowed down to breathe, I did get a chance to chat with Jason Bateman, Amanda Peet, and Thomas Jane on the Los Angeles premiere. Click here to check out my video coverage from the premiere.

Before the holiday weekend hit, I hosted the WireImage Entertainment Report. While entertainment news moves as quickly as the speed of light,  click here for my delivery of what's current (as of this weekend, at least). More coming soon...

6/23/08 :: Last Week...

It's been a hectic week. Rather than giving you the back stories, I'll just hit you with the links to see for yourself.

Over the weekend, I hit up Dr. Frank Ryan's Bony Pony Ranch in Malibu for a charity event. (Click here for video interviews with the Doc Hollywood and Heidi Montag.)

Saturday, Disney debuted their latest animated picture at the premiere of WALL*E where I caught up with the film's cast and attendee David Archuleta. (Click here to view the video.)

On Friday, I went live from the red carpet and press room of the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards where Tyra Banks, Rachael Ray, and Ellen Degeneres received top honors. Click here for the online coverage.

Other highlights from the week include the Get Smart premiere with Anne Hathaway & Steve Carrel (video interviews available) as well as Women in Film's Crystal + Lucy Awards with Cameron Diaz, Salma Hayek, and Eva Mendes (print coverage online).

6/13/08 :: Kids, Aussies, and Gurus...

And so summer begins! Many of the season's blockbusters already hit theatres, but The Love Guru just hit the scene. I was on hand at the comedy's Hollywood premiere the other night. Click here for my video interviews with Mike Meyers, Justin Timberlake, and the cast.

Last week, Aussie actors united at the Breakthrough Awards. Click here to check out my video interviews with honorees like actress Abbie Cornish. She's a lovely girl with talent to boot. Keep an eye out for her.

Over the weekend, Dakota Fanning & Val Kilmer supported First Star's Celebration for Children's Rights. The group gathered for a mini carnival that gave attendees a chance to channel their inner child. (Click for video.) The next day, it was off to Disney's "A Time for Heroes" celebrity carnival, which benefited the Elisabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Huge turn out! Nicole Richie, Courteney Cox, Mischa Barton... a lot of fun!

Last night, I did a little pre-Daytime Emmy partying with this year's nominees at The Academy of Television Arts & Science's Nominee Reception. Get ready for June 20th because I'm doing live coverage on InStyle.com. Stay tuned!

6/2/08 :: MTV Movie Awards...

Amidst a whirlwind of a week that included the not-so-glamorous stuff people fail to blog about (myself included), I arrived back in Tinseltown just in time for yesterday's MTV Movie Awards. Despite the Universal Studio lot catching fire, the show went on a few blocks down at Universal CityWalk's Gibson Amphitheatre. Click here to check out my coverage from the celeb infested event.

5/19/08 :: (Not About) Cannes Film Festival...

While much of Hollywood traveled to the Cannes Film Festival, (my boyfriend included!), I've held down the fort in LA at events like The National Kidney Foundation's "Gift of Life" Gala, an evening hosted by George Lopez and honoring Samuel L. Jackson and his wife. (Video interviews are on their way. Stay tuned.)

Last week, Tory Burch's Luncheon and Fashion Show brought out the likes of Molly Sims, who admitted, "I’m coveting the dress Tory has on today!" The designer-of-the-hour returned the compliment by gloating, "I have so many great girlfriends in LA. It’s fantastic to be here!"

Imagine my surprise when I hit the Race to Erase MS Gala only to find myself sitting across from Anne Heche and a few seats down from (the always lovely!) Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon. Before I knew it, the entire Dancing with the Stars crew joined us! "Have fun tonight," offered Emmy Rossum as she made her way to Tommy Hilfiger's table. Quite a night and in the name of a good cause!

Nights later, Michael Madsen debuted his passion project at the Vice Premiere in Hollywood. I was on hand doing video interviews for the evening (click to view).

5/4/08 :: Speed Racer & Silver Rose...

Last month was a busy month, but you'd never know it from visiting this site. Sorry for my lack of entries, but it's time to play catch up.

The Speed Racer premiere brought out Christina Ricci, Emile Hirsch, and Susan Sarandon. Click here to check out my video interviews from the film's LA debut. From there...

Halle Berry made her first post-pregnancy appearance at The Silver Rose Gala, which benefited the Jenesse Center and took place at the legendary Beverly Hills Hotel. I had the honor of catching up with Ms. Berry before the luncheon got underway. Click here to check out my online coverage from the big day. (There's more to come in the July issue of InStyle.)

Some highlights from earlier in the month: I had the privilege of meeting Dustin Hoffman at a Bottega Veneta event held at Barney's Greengrass. (Diane Keaton was also in attendance... wow!) I also chatted with Maria Shriver at Cathy Waterman's "Muse" Garden Party held at Jamie Lee Curtis' house. I still can't get over how down to earth Ms. Curtis is. To get a taste of her hospitality, check out an upcoming issue of InStyle for coverage from the event.

I'll admit it. Sometimes I have to pinch myself...

4/9/08 :: Idol Gives Back & Some...

An inspiring spirit filled the air at the Kodak Theatre when Idol Gives Back filmed their charity special, which airs tonight. I was on hand doing coverage for InStyle.com. Click here to check out the star studded involvement! (Even Brad Pitt & Reese Witherspoon got in on the charitable action.) Tune in tonight and give big in the name of worthy causes.

Earlier in the week, I caught up one-on-one with Taryn Manning to discuss her role in the indie pic Jack & Jill vs the World. The next night, I hit up the film's premiere. Check out my video interviews from the evening, which raised awareness and funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

4/1/08 :: Kids Choice Awards...

Over the weekend the tween scene brought out major star wattage as the Kids Choice Awards went live! What also went live? My red carpet coverage for InStyle.com. Be sure to check it out for snippets from my interviews with performer Miley Cyrus, presenter Hayden Panettiere, attendee Jordin Sparks, and Project Runway winner turned Access Hollywood correspondent Christian Siriano. (Oh and there's more. Click here to check it all out!)

A night earlier, I attended the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation's annual "A Stellar Night" Gala where Corbin Bleu hosted the kid focused evening and honored William Shatner. Click here for video interviews from the eve!

3/26/08 :: The EB Benefit & Such...

Last night, Hollywood put themselves aside to focus on something more important: others. Courtney Cox Arquette, Jennifer Aniston, and Orlando Bloom (to name a few) gathered at Eva Longoria Parker's new eatery Beso in Hollywood. The A listers joined forces to raise awareness (and money!) for Epidermolysis Bullosa, a rare (and heartbreaking) disease that impacts children. For further information on the organization and details on the evening, check out my InStyle.com online feature.

A few nights earlier, Details Magazine celebrated their annual Mavericks issue with a party held at a private Beverly Hills Home. (You should've seen this place!) Oh, wait... you can. Check out my video interviews from the evening, which honored cover boy Ryan Seacrest and brought out everyone from Don Cheadle to Kim Kardashian.

3/21/08 :: A Month Gone By...

Nobody throws a party like Prada! On Wednesday, the company opened their Rodeo Drive epicenter to host a private screening of "Trembled Blossoms," a short animated film based on the brand's wallpaper. For a private screening, boy did it draw a crowd! Everyone from  Brooke Shields & Minnie Driver to Nicole Richie & Nicky Hilton were in attendance. (In fact, the list is too long to name the bevy of beauties who came out to kick up their heels.) Instead: check out my InStyle.com coverage from the big night!

Over the weekend, I hit up the DCMA Collective opening where Paris Hilton supported her man Benji Madden. Check out my video interviews with the heiress and her friends.

A evening later, I found myself at Vanessa & Angela Simmon's One Year Anniversary Party for Pastry, their shoe brand that recently expanded into apparel and handbags. These girls are already on a first name basis with major names: Run DMC (who they call "Dad"), Russell Simmons (also known as "Uncle"), and Kimora Lee Simmons (typically called "Aunt"). They admitted to getting some friendly advice from their seasoned family. Click here to check out my video interviews from the event. Nelly & P. Diddy also made appearances.

3/9/08 :: March (Without) Madness...

After Oscar insanity, I took a small break. There was Katsuya. Then Disney, more Katsuya... and, oh yes, Poker...

The World Poker Tour's Invitational to be more specific. And I didn't play. I chit chatted with the players who included James Woods, Michael Vartan, and Mekhi Phifer. Check out my video interviews from the night!

One Bebe event honoring Rebecca Romijm and the Horton Hears A Who premiere (with Jim Carey, Steve Carell, & Jaime Pressley) later and we're back to business. Around the corner? The Kids Choice Awards. In the meantime, the Oscars are still lingering. Here's a photo from working the Sir Elton John Viewing Party. Shout out to Charles, who was my camera man for the evening:

2/25/08 :: Oscar Week Festivities...

I just came up for air... After a week of premieres, pre-Oscar bashes, the Independent Spirit Awards, and Academy Awards, what's a girl to do? I'm going to Disneyland! But, let's back track for just a minute.

To kick things off, I hit up Will Ferrell's Semi-Pro premiere for video interviews with the cast and friends. That morning, I'd attended the Diamond Information Center's media breakfast. (I proceeded to check out their ongoing events honoring designers Alabama Chanin, Rodarte, & Phillip Lim.)

A few nights before the Academy Awards, Art of Elysium threw an event that rivaled the Oscars! In attendance? Demi Moore, Salma Hayek, Penelope Cruz, Kate Hudson, Charlize Theron, and the list goes on... Check out my online coverage from Art of Elysium's Hollywood Domino evening! The piece will also be appearing in an upcoming issue of InStyle.

Next, I attended the Independent Spirit Awards where Mario Bello, Kerry Washington, and Felicity Huffman joined the officially expectant mother Angelina Jolie, who clearly revealed her baby bump in a form fitting black dress. Click here for online coverage from the Indie Spirits!

The climax occurred just last night at Sir Elton John's 16th Annual AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party, where I caught up with everyone from the host to Minnie Driver, Sharon Stone, Mary J. Blige, and Billy Joel. (Oscar winner Marion Cotillard even made an appearance!) Check out the video!

Where next? Katsuya, Disneyland, and to sleep...

2/11/08 :: The Grammy Grind...

What an insane weekend. The insanity kicked off with InStyle's Grammy Salute to Fashion where Adam Levine, Prince, and Miley Cyrus mingled over a fashion show and Rihanna performance. Click here for my full coverage and keep an eye out for more in an upcoming issue!

The next night, it was off to the People/Verizon Pre-Grammy Party where Timbaland brought out celeb friends for a crazy concert. Rumors swirled that Justin Timberlake would make a surprise on-stage appearance, but--alas--they were simply rumors. Settling for Chris Cornell, Missy Elliot, and One Republic wasn't half bad... neither was the crowd, which included Natasha Bedingfield, Fergie, and will.i.am. Be sure to check out my video interviews from the big night!

Two pre-parties down, one more to go! The night before the Grammy's, I hit up Ne-Yo's Midnight Brunch. The title says it all! It started at midnight and lasted until the wee hours of the evening. Stevie Wonder, Rihanna, and Nick Cannon made appearances -- despite the fire marshall's attempt to shut down the packed party. Check out my video coverage from the eve!

2/3/08 :: Kate Hudson (& The Superbowl)...

While most are watching the Super Bowl, I'm blogging... why? Why not! After all, the highly anticipated commercials are available on You Tube, the half time show is already over, and--truth be told--I'm not much of a football fan. I'm more interested in the celeb sightings at the game. Kate Hudson didn't disappoint on that one! She attended with step dad Kurt Russell... just a day after hosting a Fool's Gold cocktail reception in Arizona.

Doesn't she seem to be everywhere right now? I chatted with her a week ago at the SAG Awards after-party. Then, reunited with the ever-so-busy actress at her Fool's Gold premiere -- held a few days before the big bowl. It was a chilly night, but the film's cast came out full force... even if they were an hour late to their own premiere. Be sure to check out my video interviews Kate and her co-stars including Matthew McConaughey.

The Super Bowl & NY Fashion Week may have cities (other than LA) abound with excitement, but the Grammy's are based in LA and just around the corner... Stay tuned for more soon!

1/28/08 :: The (Not So) Little Award Show That Could...

Stars weathered the rain, but didn't let the rain weather them before walking the red carpet at the 14th Annual SAG Awards. As one of the few award shows of the season, Ricky Gervais couldn't contain his excitement. "It’s happening! It’s actually happening," he pointed out before the show got underway. Click here to check out all my coverage from the red carpet.

The night didn't end there. Stars continued celebrating at the People Magazine/Entertainment Industry Foundation bash where I caught up with Kate Hudson, Ellen Pompeo, and Jane Krawkowski. Click here to take a look at part two of my evening. Fear not, even more action will unfold in an upcoming issue of InStyle Magazine. I'll be sure to scan a copy of my feature.

1/24/08 :: Two Worlds, One Woman...

The writer's strike won't get me down. I'm writing... like it or not! (Granted I'm not a member of WGA -- they won't care anyway.)

This week I found myself in two very different worlds -- joined by actress Vanessa Williams at each.

Wednesday, I hit up a private Sergio Rossi dinner hosted by Salma Hayek and the company's creative director Edmundo Castillo. After a brilliant five-course dinner at Bastide (and as midnight neared!), the company's CEO Didier Bonnin opened the co's new Melrose Place boutique for VIP's in need of a late night retail fix. Details from the dinner could wind up in an upcoming issue of the magazine (fingers crossed--will keep you updated), but in the meantime here's a link to my online write-up.

The following night, I bumped into my fellow diner Ms. Williams at the Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds premiere... Sure enough, she was rocking a pair of metallic brown ankle boots that she'd picked up the night before. She couldn't wait to show them off, but admitted she had a different motive for attending Miley's big night: "My seven-year-old is a huge fan!" Click here to check out my video interviews from the event.

This weekend, I'll likely bump into the Ugly Betty star again as she's nominated for a SAG Award. (I wonder if she'll be sporting Sergio Rossi's that night too. Hmmm...)

1/17/08 :: Pure Decadence...

InStyle sure knows how to throw a luncheon! Complete with couture, celebs, and diamonds, the magazine joined forces with the Diamond Information Center to throw a pre-awards season party. I was on hand writing and reporting on all the action. Take a look at my online piece. It'll also appear within the March issue. Keep an eye out!

The next day, I ditched the diamonds and settled for a less extravagant look as I hit the Beverly Hills Hotel for the low-key AFI Awards where George Clooney, Jason Bateman, and Allison Janney celebrated their honored films. Be sure to check out my video coverage!

That same day, I found myself at the Jimmy Choo store opening off Rodeo Drive. From there, I clicked my heels and decided, "There's no place like home." That is, until I find the next event...

1/9/08 :: New Year, New (Award) Season...

It's the start of a new year and award season is already in full gear... Despite the Golden Globes officially being cancelled, I've been crazed covering other award show outings.

Over the weekend, I was in Palm Springs for the film festival's Cartier sponsored awards gala where I caught up with Halle Berry, Daniel Day-Lewis, John Travolta, Bruce Willis, Laura Linney... anyway, you get the point. Click here to check out my on-camera interviews from the Palm Springs Film Festival.

Next, it was off to the Critics' Choice Awards where Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, and Katie Holmes shocked attendees by showing up at VH1's live show. Be sure to check out my print coverage for InStyle.com.

I'm still hoping the Golden Globe parties will party-on after the un-televised conference (hey, I'm freelance!), but only time will tell. xO and Happy New Year all!
